coordinated fits (30 days of style)
a long-distance couple's styling challenge that inspired many subsequent projects
the seed | beginnings
when my bf and i first started dating, he sent me a 30 days of style challenge from Fantastic Man: 30 prompts, one for each day. he lived in atlanta. i lived in los angeles. and so, we started sending each other photos of our outfits to complete the challenge together.
with this happening during the covid lockdowns in 2020, we both had so much time in our hands. each prompt became an excuse for a self-directed mini editorial shoot, and the resulting photos became such an easy way to flirt with one another across the country while learning how we thought about fashioning ourselves.
by the end, i gathered so much content and figured i'd make a tiktok of the outfits i pulled together. a couple years later, i turned this project into a printed zine for our first valentine's day after moving in together.
our styles have changed so much since these early days, but revisting this feels like returning to one of our roots: two people sharing a love for photography and sartorial expression.
